Fun With Dress Forms With The Cutting Cafe

I'm going to put my husband on the spot today and tell you all he does not like the project I am about to share with you. HOW DARE he say something like that! RIGHT?!?! Well, actually, his sometimes brutal honesty is something I admire about him and our relationship. Whenever I cook something he doesn't like...he lets me know. He says he has to tell me so I don't keep making it. Lol.
Okay, enough about my husband and on to today's post for The Cutting Cafe.

We were able to choose from the following files for today's assignment...
Each of these files are super cute and so easy to work with. Even if you don't have a fancy cutting machine...Regina's files also come in PDF form.

I chose to use the Fun With Dress Forms for my project today.  I got the paper from the local stamp/scrapbook store here in Palmer. The wooden plaque came from Value Village.

I painted the plaque, sewing needles, scissors and measuring tape  with a couple layers of Gesso and let it dry. I found an old sewing pattern that belonged to my Grandma and glued it to the plaque with E6000 Spray Adhesive. I let that dry for a bit and then painted over the pattern with a couple layers of watered down Gesso. After that was all dry I glued on the measuring tape with E6000 and then put the dress form on the plaque with foam squares. I used Gel Medium to attach the buttons, beads, sewing needles, and scissors. Then I moved on to the 3D Paper Flowers (A Cutting Cafe File), leaves, and chain which are also attached with E6000 (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite adhesives). The pearls in the center of the flowers are attached with hot glue.

Here's a few more pictures of my creation...
