Steampunk Scrapbook Cover and Mason Jar Shaker For SVG Saturday

Hello and happy Saturday to all of you!
I have not scapbooked in FOREVER! Scrapbooking was what got me into crafting. I decided I would make my husband a scrapbook for our 11 year wedding anniversary (that was on Oct. 1st).
It was fun to get back to it.

Since Andrew made me a FABULOUS Steampunk pen holder for our anniversary I thought I would make him a Steampunk scrapbook. Here is the outside front cover.

The gears I used are from the My Bestie Shop. The SVG is called Gears and Sprockets.
I cut them out of cardboard from a cereal box put chunky embossing powder on them and then painted him.

The awesome water faucet is a Prima embellishment. It is from the Junkyard findings collection. I LOVE this collection! They have so many cool embellishments.

This is what the cover looked like before I got started...

I took it apart, applied Gesso, duct tape, hot glue, gel medium and then painted it. You can find a step by step tutorial of a notebook cover I did very similar to this HERE.

Here's a few pictures of the awesome pen holder my husband made...

Isn't it awesome!?! I love it! My husband is the best.

Now on to one of the layouts...

I used two SVGs from the My Bestie shop for this layout.

The 7 Layer Scallop SVG for the flowers...

and the Pocket Watch SVG

The font is from Cricut Design Space.

For this cute little shaker I used the Ghost SVG, the Bats With Moon SVG, and the Mason Jar SVG.
(I know this doesn't go with the scrapbook, but when I saw this file I had to make this card)

I will be posting more of the layouts for Andrew's scrapbook soon, so stay tuned =)

Have a great weekend everyone!

  2. Oh my word!!! Oh my goodness.. I loved reading that post. What a great duo of gifts for one another. I can't believe the transformation that scrapbook took. The steampunk texture is incredible. I looks metal and leather and crackled....awesome job and that card....WOO HOO..how fun is that. It really looks like a jar full of liquid. You did an amazing job. :)
    Happy belated Anniversary!
