More Easter Cards!

Ok, I'm totally hooked on making these shabby/vintage Easter cards!

They are so simple and so pretty!

For the egg on each of these cards, I used the 3 Easter Treat Cup Cards file from The Cutting Cafe.
In Cricut Design Space, I made the egg the size I wanted it and cut it out with my Cricut.

I embellished each card by adding lace and cheese cloth between layers.

I also used my Cricut to write Happy Easter on these cute little tags.

Now I'm on my way over to my Etsy shop to post these babies. Thanks for stopping by! Have a craftastic day!

Happy Easter With The Cutting Cafe

Oh my gosh! It's almost Easter. This year is flying by.

This week The Cutting Cafe DT are playing with Easter files.
I chose to use the 3 Easter Treat Cup Cards file

This card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest.  After seeing the card, I went to the creators blog. My gosh is she crazy talented. If you'd like to check her out, her blog address is Kszp.blogspot.ie.

Ok, back to my card...I took the egg SVG from the 3 Easter Treat Cup Cards file, enlarged it and cut it out with my Cricut Explore.

This card didn't take much work at all. a little distressing on the edges of the paper and then I slapped on the egg, lace, flowers and sentiment.

This was the first time I have got to use my tiny little tag die that I got from my friend Pamela Joy's FB shop. I printed the sentiments out at 75% and then used the die to cut it out. It was the perfect size. I am toadally in love with it!

I think I will be doing a few more of the simple, yet beautiful Easter cards. Stay tuned!

Stop by The Cutting Cafe tomorrow to see what the rest of the DT has come up with. If you leave a comment on that inspirational post, you will be entered in a chance to with 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Thanks for popping in for a visit. See you all again soon!

Hugs,

Sisters

Hello! I have been playing with mixed media. Talk about fun! I make a huge mess whenever I break out all the mixed media goodness. Paints + sprays + texture paste + Tina = disaster!

Anyhoo, this month at KennyK the DT's theme is anything, but a card. I decided to make a canvas.

The image I used is KennyK's Texting Friends. When I first saw this image, I thought of my sister and I. Since we live so far apart, we rely on our phones to keep us close. We would be lost without being able to call or text each other everyday. Sometimes several times a day.

My first step in this project was to color the image with Copic markers. Then I textured and painted the canvas. After it was dry, I added beautiful laces from Pamela Joy Pifer Wrights FB shop (the love charm is from there also), the image and flowers.

I had an idea of the sentiment that I wanted, but I didn't know the exact wording so I went to Pinterest and searched sister quotes.

That's when I found this sentiment. It fit my sister and I perfectly. We have a really special bond. I am truly thankful for her and our friendship.

Here's a close up of the gorgeous laces from Pamela's. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to darken the bottom of the pink lace.

Thank you all for stopping by. Hope you have a craftastic day!

Mason Jar Fun With The Cutting Cafe

I don't know about you, but I LOVE everything Mason Jars. What could be more fun than crafting with paper jars?!?

For my project, I chose to work with the Mason Jar Shaped Card Template and Cutting File

I printed the jar out on Clear Card Stock that I got from The Cutting Cafe Shop. Once printed, I fussy cut the jar and then wiped the ink off of the jar.

I used the image I colored from the latest Kit and Clowder Monthly Marker Class.

The image is from Power Poppy. They have gorgeous images!  This flower image was perfect for a Mason Jar!

Instead of making a card, I decided to make a mixed media canvas. I always have so much fun with mixed media. I make a huge mess!

The gorgeous lace is from my friend Pamela Joy's Facebook shop. She has the most beautiful laces in her shop.

Another angle of the canvas.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you will stop by The Cutting Cafe on the 7th to see what the rest of the DT has done with their jars. If you lave a comment on that post you will be entered to win 3 free Cutting Cafe files of your choice.

Have a craftastic day!
