Rubbernecker Halloween Card 2017

Happy Halloween!! I am super excited for Halloween this year. It is warmer than it ever has been (since we moved to Alaska, 8 years ago) for Halloween. That mean that when we take the littes out Trick or Treating, I will not freeze my hind end off. The low is 34 degrees and the high will be in the mid 40's. I know some of you are probably thinking that I am crazy to be excited for temps like this, but it is MUCH better than going out in negative temps!

Today's card is another card made from RUBBERNECKER STAMPS. This adorable candy corn is from the CORNY SET. I just love him! I suppose you could even make the candy corn a her. Just put a little bow on it's head. How cute would that be?!?!

I colored the CANDY CORN with Copic markers.

White: C00, C2, C4
Yellow: Y19, Y11, Y0000
Orange: YR15, YR09, E18
Pink: R20, R30

The CANDY CORN  ribbon I have had in my stash for years. Once I looked at the ribbon, I realized I colored the CANDY CORN wrong. It's still adorable, so I'm good with it =)

The sentiment is also from RUBBERNECKER STAMPS, it is HAPPY HALLOWEEN 1 931

Check out what the rest of the crew made up for Halloween on the RUBBERNECKER BLOG.

Thank you all for stopping by. The Rubbernecker crew and I hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!

Rubbernecker Fall Scene Card

Good Monday morning! We are having a bunch of warm days here in AK. It makes me feel like we are at home (Washington State). Just to clarify, warm means in the 50's. Usually at this time of year we are in the 20's - 30's. Sometimes snow, usually windy.

Anyway, since it's feeling like Fall, I made a Fall Scene Card with the Rubbernecker stamp set 3014 Fall Master. I have used the Fall Master stamp set before...you can find that project HERE. I love that you can use the same stamp set to create so many different cards.

I liked this scene so much that I decided I would keep the card simple.

Looking at it, really makes me want to be sitting under that big tree reading a book and enjoying the quiet sounds around me.

There is still time to enter the Rubbernecker Challenge! The Challenge ends Nov 5th. The theme is Copper & Gold. Visit the Rubbernecker Blog for more details.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you all have a craftastic day!

Rubbernecker Stamps God Made Us Best Friends

Hello, hello, hello! Today is a great day! We are at our second day of our second craft bazaar.
I have been having so much fun at these bazaars.

Anywho...Today is Sunshine Sunday which means team 2 of Rubbernecker Stamps has a bunch of wonderful creations to inspire you with.

Here is the card that I made.

I used three Rubbernecker Stamps to create this card. FernCora, and  the sentiment stamp...as sistersFern and Cora both have a die cut that you can purchase along with the stamps.

I colored Fern and Cora with Copic markers.

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning. Have a good day!

Hugs,

Skull Cards with The Cutting Cafe

Happy Saturday everyone! I think Saturday is my favorite day of the week. I usually get caught up on house work, have a little crafting time and still have some time left for family.

This weekend, I have the cutest Skull Shaped Cards to share with you.

The Skull Shaped Card file is one of many Halloween files from The Cutting Cafe.

My six year old was not happy that I made the red and white Skull Shaped Card into a girl. She thought it would make a much better boy Skull Shaped Card. I think that both the pink and the red look perfect all girly =)

I love working with files from The Cutting Cafe. They are the kind of files that kinda just fall together.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Make sure you pop on over to The Cutting Cafe to see what the rest of the DT came up with this week. If you leave a comment on the inspirational post, you will be entered in a chance to win 3 free files of your choice.

Rubbernecker Fall Master Clear Stamp Set

Good morning craft friends! Today I have something a little different to share with you. A masculine card! I don't often make these. Masculine cards are much harder for me than pretty girly cards.

This one, however, was super easy.

I colored the truck stamp in the Rubbernecker Stamp set, 3014 KKCS Fall Master. This is the first time that I have ever colored a vehicle. As I colored this truck, it made me think of my Dad. He loved old cars and trucks. He could tell you the year, make and model of any car that drove by. He would have loved to have received a card with this truck on it.

I colored the truck stamp with Copic markers.

Blue: B99, B97, B95, B93
Rust: E09, YR02, Colorless Blender
Black: C10, C7, C4
Gray: C1, C3

I love this truck stamp! I think the next time I color it, I will do a scene. Rubbernecker Stamps really has great stamp sets to make scenes with.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hop on over to the Rubbernecker Blog to check out this weeks challenge.

See you again soon!

Hugs,
       Tina

Guest DT Fun For Creatful Heart Digis

Good morning! I have been waiting for this day to come for weeks! We are off to our first craft bazaar today. I am excited and super nervous.
In addition to the bazaar fun, I have the pleasure of designing for CREATEFUL HEART DIGIS today. I played along in one of their CHALLENGES and won! I won three of their beautiful DIGIS. Let me tell you...I had a hard time choosing! Luckily, CREATEFUL HEART DIGIS are very reasonably priced.
Ok, on to the cards, I made...yes, cardS. I love the image so much I had to make more than one card!

The image is OLD FASHIONED ROSE. It's absolutely gorgeous. I wish I had more time to do more cards in different colors. I am seeing this OLD FASHIONED ROSE in purple, yellow, pink...well, you get the point. It would be beautiful in ANY color.

I have to say that I am super proud of myself for making a simple card. As hard as it was for me not to add embellishments, I did it! And I love it!

Alrighty, I am off to get ready for our craft bazaar. Wish us luck!
Thank you to CREATEFUL HEART DIGIS for letting me design with your beautiful image!
Hugs,

Rubbernecker Mason Jars and Daisies Stamps

Hello friends! Boy, have I been keeping busy with crafting and blogging lately. I love it! I hope you are loving it too.

Today I am sharing my first attempt at a new coloring medium...Tim Holtz Distress Markers.

First of all, I chose the stamps I wanted to work with. I wanted to go with pretty a pretty simple image since I had never colored with distress markers. I didn't want to spend a bunch of time on something I wasn't sure would turn out. The Daisies and the Mason Jar Set from Rubbernecker stamps were perfect. Pretty, but wouldn't take a lot of time.

I stamped the Daisies and one jar from Mason Jar Set on to watercolor paper.

As I colored the Daisies and the Mason Jar, I used a water brush to dilute and spread the ink. I'd color a little and then go back over it with the water brush. Sometimes, I would go over it a couple times. Using these distress markers is sure a lot different than coloring with Copic markers!
This was definitly a learning experience for me. I ended up using too much water with the inks which make them bleed into areas where they shouldn't have. Some area's I made a lot darker than I wanted. Honestly, once I was done coloring this, I wanted to toss it in the garbage.

However, I decided to make a card with it anyway. I wanted to do this for those of you who do not share your work because you think you are not as good as someone else. Or you do not share your work because you don't think it is good enough. Please be kind to yourself. We are all beginners at one point. No one is perfect. I make mistakes on my projects often. The important thing here is...Are you having fun? Are you learning as you go along? Be patient. Give yourself lots of time to practice.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
         Tina

Treat Cup Cards With The Cutting Cafe

Hi everyone! The Cutting Cafe is having fun with Treat Cup Cards this week.

Treat Cup Cards are a fun way to give a loved one a treat. The Cutting Cafe has a ton of different Treat Cup Card files

I had the perfect papers for the Bat Treat Cup Card and the Acorn Treat Cup Card.
These two files come with the Halloween and Fall Treat Cup Cards Set.

I made two of each card.

Each Treat Cup File comes with a box template for your card to go in.

Each one of these cards were cut out with my Cricut Explore.

I had so much fun making these.

Make sure you pop over to The Cutting Cafe blog to see what the rest of the design team did with their Treat Cup Cards. If you leave a comment on the inspirational post, you will be entered in a chance to win three Cutting Cafe files of your choice. Ok, back to the craft room for me! Hope you all have a craftastic day!

Hugs,

Reneabouquets Beautiful Board Beautiful Brick Bits Card - By DT Tina Goodwin

Hello crafty friends! I am back with another card using the amazing Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets. I seriously cannot get enough of this stuff! I am using it on almost every card I make.

The Beautiful Board  pieces that I have used on this card are Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits - Bricks
Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits - Shabby Hearts, and Beautiful Board Ivy Vine Flourish 2. I cut the Beautiful Board Ivy Vine Flourish 2 into a few pieces so I could spread it out on the card a little bit. I even had some extra pieces which I used on another card.

I inked the edges of each little Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits - Bricks with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

To color the Beautiful Board Ivy Vine Flourish 2, I used Tim Holtz Vintage Photo and Mowed Lawn. The distress inks work really well for "painting" the Beautiful Board

You can only see a tiny bit of the White Doily Lace 2 1/4 inch wide peeking through, but it's a must for me on a lot of cards. I love the added texture and femininity that lace adds to any project.

This time I used the Tiny Treasures Dancing Beauty Butterflies and

the gorgeous To The Moon and Back Dragonflies. I fell in love with these when Renea first released them.

Once again, I am using cardstock from the Happy Accident Collection Paper. This Paper pack is AMAZING!

The gorgeous image is Diva Lisa Cheeky from The East Wind

The Prima Shabby Chic Treasures Resin Baroque Frames was perfect for this image! It does make the card a little heavy, but it's so pretty, it's definitely worth it.

Rubbernecker Moose Clear Stamp Set

What do you look for in a stamp set? What makes you buy one stamp over another?
When I first look at stamps, I am drawn in by the cute ones. Before I purchase the stamp I stop myself (I really have to say think about this, Tina. Or I would be buying stamps like crazy). So I stop myself and think about how often I will use the stamps. Can I use them to make multiple cards that are different?

With the stamp set I am using today from Rubbernecker Stamps, I have been able to create very different cards. Take a look...

This snowy cabin scene is the second card that I have made with the Rubbernecker stamp set 3013 KKCS Moose . The first card I made using the 3013 KKCS Moose set is the moose card below. You can read more about that card HERE.

Here is a picture of what comes with the 3013 KKCS Moose set.

I used the trees from the 3013 KKCS Moose set on both of the cards.
When I look at this set I see many different card possibilities. Which save's me some money.
I am looking forward to making many more cards with the 3013 KKCS Moose set.

I have been learning about masking stamps. I tried the technique for the first time with this card. It really gives you more possibilities and freedom with your stamps.

I colored the image using Copic markers and a couple techniques that I have learned from taking Kit and Clowder online coloring classes. I really enjoy doing these classes (when I force myself to make time for coloring.) I learn something new in every class.

Copic markers used

Sky: B99, B29, B16, B14, B12, BG53, B00, V06, V05, V01, YG07, YG11
Snow: V22, B60, BV000
House: E49, E25, E35, E31, E09, C1, C3, C5
Trees: G99, G94, YG, 67, YG03

You can read about today's card and enter Rubbernecker Stamp Challenges HERE. Remember, each day of the week has a new project from different design team members. You are sure to get loads of inspiration!

Thank you so much for popping in for a visit. I will see you again soon.

Here is the card that I made for inspiration.
Before I placed the Cotton Candy Curly Roses Mulberry Paper Flower Set on the card, I inked the petals of the Curly Roses with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink.

The image is from Saturated Canary. I love her images. Sadly, she closed her store. You can find some of her images being sold at Make It Crafty.

Copic markers used
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, E0000 Blush: R20 Lips: R89, R39, R35

The greenery with the flowers is parts of the Beautiful Board Ivy Vine Flourish 2 that I had left over from a previous card. I love that you can cut the Beautiful Board into smaller pieces.

The Beautiful Board Beautiful Bits Shabby Hearts are another favorite of mine. You can use them on just about every project.

The sentiment is another custom stamp that I had made at The Cutting Cafe Shop.

Of course I had to add one of Renea's beautiful handmade butterflies. This one is a Sweetheart Glitter Glass Butterfly. There are butterflies to match every color/project.
